Our Hospice volunteerism is an opportunity to serve the people in your community through many volunteer opportunities supporting our 16-county service area.
Every volunteer is provided with training according to the area of volunteerism they choose. A comprehensive training prepares the volunteers for their role as part of the Our Hospice team. Volunteers give time based on their availability and the need within the area of volunteerism they choose.

Our Hospice of South Central Indiana has implemented the Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program, which is an innovative model for serving Veterans at the end of life. The goal of the Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program is to pair Veteran volunteers with hospice patients who have been identified as Veterans. Once paired with hospice patients who also have military experience, Veteran Volunteers have the unique ability to relate and connect with each patient creating an environment where life review and healing may occur.
